the initial designs for ed and darling. these came to being as i was drawing the previous upload.

ed’s concept was based on sea serpents drawn on old handdrawn maps. he’s a dragon who hails from the ocean. he wears gloves because his hands are badly burnt from an accident when he was younger. he knows magic but refuses to use it. he’s very hard on himself, considers himself more of a beast or creature than a man.

darling is a bounty hunter who is pretty poor and so he’s actually renting most of the clothes you see him wearing. he is an open book, but he doesn’t trust many people. he’s dangerous when he needs to be. loves food and wine, never turns down an offer for either.
