They're baaaaaaaack, and it seems they've been quite busy while outside of the gaze of our heroes. What exactly are these plans? What are these "field trips" Dr. Robotnik, Dr. M and Metal Sally have been going on? Guess we'll have to find out @_@ All we know for sure is they're about to have a battle between their new toy and Sonic the Hedgehog, Princess Sally Acorn and the rest of the gang XD
Here's a little early Christmas Miracle, as we get the next page out fairly quickly by our own standards. Hope you guys like the monster design, we wanted to make sure to use Dr. M's usual madness in the design mixed with Robotnik's leaning on technology... should be fun to see what this thing is capable of!

Yes, I will admit, using Mecha-Sally to play mind games against Sonic was super effective -even if a bit annoying because of the unique callback to that one episode I particularly watched dozens of times growing up. Can't say Flynn has 0% success rate when he comes up with things.😤😒
Did it really accomplish anything though? Despite the mind games she essentially failed at every mission and the only reason she escaped each time was plot armor.
Not to mention while they acted like she was smart, they barely used her knowledge and skills to do little more than petty school bully tactics.
Flynn definitely comes up with great ideas….but often time the follow through and conclusion to said ideas are very lacking. He’s great at character dialogue and conversations though ^^

I don’t agree to his dialogue/conversations but the very notion of the mind games was haunting. Honesty, I find him to be a writer who likes to tear things down while patting himself on the back for making some kind of deep dive reference to something. So not “great” though. Has that late teens/early 20’s fanfic vibe of inserting unnecessary edge into something while congratulating themselves for “intimate familiarity”. I prefer those who expand rather than diminish.
As for her efficacy, she did help hunt down Snively up until the point Regina nullified her and kidnapped both Lupe and Hathor which I believe she calculated was a necessary plan. Incidentally, there is precedence on the matter. In the Mecha Madness arc, Sonic was able to fly straight to Knothole and begin tearing it up for his lard blob master, yet in the Sonic Underground episode “To Catch a Queen”, Sleet says, “Too bad we can’t access his Human memories.” when discussing Argus having been roboticized when he was supposed to rendezvous with Queen Aleena.
A guy named Glitcher over on DA has also been rewriting the comics from around the time of the Mecha Sally saga and did some dank things regarding Robotnik’s handling of her both in discarding the original parts and exploiting her as his weapon/tool. In that storyline, it actually uses the drama of what has been done to build off of what’s happened while paying out for the investments and set ups.

Yeah probably his biggest weakness is horrible pacing and stretching the dark stuff out for way too long without a good enough payout to be worth it.
I know Glitcher… no clue how Sally is supposed to live with herself after what she did in that comic. Definitely not my cup of tea story telling wise but he certainly did it well.
