A festive creature drawing inspired my research into Krampus variations - I am drawing and colouring in some, but this is another sketch I worked on at the same time. :D These are the Schnabelperchten from Rauris Valley in SalzburgerLand in the Austrian Alps. :o

Making themselves known with a clicking 'ga ga ga', they are welcome guests bringing luck and blessings for the next year if your house is clean, but if it's not clean, they slice open your stomach to hide the rubbish there! 😱The procession of the Schnabelperchten takes place on 5th January, on the eve of the Three Kings Day. :o
