The first generation of the City Guard were noble and selfless, and they took the job to help their city with swords and spears for their hands were too rough to shape it into a better place with gentleness. Unfortunately their offsprings knew the power too soon and too well and it corrupted a lot of them for they felt righteous dealing bloody justice, and they dealt it without hesitation, seeking the wrong-doers with the passion of starving dogs. And worst of all was the executioner's child, posing themselves above god and above death with youthful glee.

But then again, maybe nothing good could ever come of the cursed city where the three previous kings met their violent deaths
