Kipa and I had talked about Scene styles for SO LONG! We had both held appreciation for this fun appearance but never really could find the time to make it happen UNTIL NOW >:D
Kipa went above and beyond for this one. I've always adored her art but this is simply gorgeous. She's really been improving steadily as an artist, and gosh did she go hard on this image! She was telling me she was really going to go all out for this one, but even warning me didn't guard me from being so impressed with this :D
I never did participate in this style myself, nor did I know anyone in person who did, but gosh did I see images of this all over the place during the time it was popular! Admittedly I first found out about it from people posing with pacifiers, but hey I really liked the look even despite that :x
I LOVE all the detail in this one! The attention to detail on the shoelaces especially! I really like the arm accessories, little bunny charm especially :3 Her hair is gorgeous too, that's one thing about Scene that always stood out to me the most. Gir is a really cute callback to those times. Invader Zim was SO popular back then! I also just really like how the shirt fits her here, the gentle folds and shading on it is just super pleasant! ...Also the Monster legging she has on, I laughed so hard when I saw that XD

Gosh right? I hear the style is making a comeback in some areas but I haven't really seen it like it was at its height.
And I know right? I've yet to find a look that doesn't suit her. I'm sure it can be done with cheap looks that look bad on anyone but...that's kind of cheating :x

XD I'm sure there's SOMETHING out there that doesn't suit her! You'd have to try and find something that looks bad though, and at that point it'd look bad on anyone so does that really count?
That she's such a blank slate really lends well to her fitting into just about anything I think. Absolutely perfect for a model I say :D

THAT'S EXACTLY HOW I FEEL ABOUT IT!! I'm used to Kipa doing great works for me, but it had been a while since I got something from her. Her leveling up steadily as an artist and her interest in this theme REALLY shows here! She was telling me that she was going to go hard on this one before she was getting ready to work on it though, but no amount of words can prepare you for the real thing :3
