Tom was awakened by the dual snap but thought nothing of it and went back to sleep, then he heard squeeking and the sound of wood sliding on linoleum. He went to the kitchen to find Jerry somehow trapped in some new kind of mousetrap that his owner, Mammy must have bought and placed there. It was hard to see how he could be trapped in this way but then he saw the evidence, a small table on the floor had been jettisoned across the room, a piece of cheese was apparently placed on a tiny plate on this small table with a thimble cup of water. This made for an inviting enough place setting for a mouse to feel at ease and sit on the provided stationary chair and put his feet up and reach for the cheese. Amazing. Well now there is only one thing to do, give him what he deserves for all the times he got away.
