Finally submitting some artwork again!!! I almost forgot what that feels like....

There was a time not long ago I realized I had drawn most of my friends.... but had missed one of my best friends. Although she was actually happy about that, I decided I couldn't let this obvious injustice go on. And so I drew her, completely ignoring her protests.

The idea for this composition came to me from one photo of hers I took last summer in the park. Everything was flowering, and she liked to pose along with blooming ornamental bushes. I simply loved her look in that particular shot. The rest of the picture unwinded in my mind naturally and quite swiftly (actually much more swiftly than I managed to draw it) since the elements blended together perfectly. But the interpretation I leave to you. (I have my own, of course.)


The technical part. I used several references (including one macro of her pendant) - all my own photos.
Pencils: 2B - 8B, HB for some details. Paper: A4.

In case you're wondering, that flowering bush is a meadowsweet. The wing is of a dragonfly :)
