"Jeez, it's really coming down..."As the rain grew heavier by the minute, Sharon takes shelter under a tree in the hopes that she could stay at least a little dry in the midst of this downpour. She knows that she'll have to continue her hunting regardless of whether the rain lets up soon or not - the camp's gotta eat and this is the best way to secure food for it - but she could stand to relax for a bit. Hunting is hard enough work without the inclement weather getting in the way.
Besides, it gives her a chance to just take in the sounds of nature and admire the scenery... something she admittedly doesn't get to do as much as she used to. Yes, she'll sit here for a little while and wait things out. After all, it's dry enough where she is and there's no need to hurry with the hunting when there's still plenty of daylight hours left to bag something.
...Pleased with the Melee and Kal pictures I commissioned him to do for me earlier this year, I decided I was going to hit up Metal one more time to draw something SFW for me before the year was finally over. And since I feel like I haven't been giving Sharon enough love lately, I opted to get something done of her. Having seen some of the scenic pics Metal did that involved jungles and forests, I believed he was well-suited for making a similar illustration with my dragon.
My favorite part of this pic would probably be Sharon's face. I really like the sense of wonderment and curiosity present on it... it's a nice change from the usual scowls and annoyed expressions she usually displays. I also really like the colors and how they're all a little desaturated due to the weather, as well as the water dripping from the plants in the foreground... those are all nice little details. I'm glad I got to hit up this artist again, and hopefully it won't be the last time!
