Having grown frustrated with the publishing options and non-response to just about everything I throw at them, I have decided to place the entire book of Scanectity Skunk here. I am doing this for the love of the book, and nothing else. Consider it an early Christmas gift if you wish, or just a warm handshake or hug if you prefer.

At just over 300 pages, it is alive to me, and deserves to be shared with whoever might have the sense of humor to appreciate the old Skunk; because he is a hoot.

It's a story about life. In reflection - yours, not mine, since I've already reflected way too many times - you might just remember some of the (ahem... coughcoughcough) adventures you had when younger.

I grew up in a small town back in the 50's and 60's. Times were so much different then; but life does continue on. As complex as things might seem now, they were no less complex then - just in different ways.

Take your time with this, and enjoy. Let your mind go back to then, and take in a measure of what you see. Understand that life is as sweet as the smoke from burning leaf piles.

Of course, they don't do that anymore.
