Giles is the owner of a traveling circus and he was his very first performer. At the beginning of his career, he had nothing, he had no money to pay artists, and he did not have any attractions. So he decided to make an attraction out of his body, covered the entire upper part with tattoos. Exhibiting his painted body for show, he attracted the first viewers.

When the performances began to bring in money, he was able to hire a full-fledged troupe and the need to showcase his tattoos has disappeared. In the same period, he was turned into a vampire. Then it turned out that the ink of his tattoos was of poor quality, contained an element that is corroded vampire cells (however, increased regeneration protects against death). And now they hurt him and he can't get rid of them. Before each of his performances, he is forced to take painkillers, but after him he is left alone with the consequences.

Now Giles always wears his black suit and gloves to hide his tattoos from prying eyes.
