The following is from Farallon's own description, since he puts it more eloquently than I could:

"One of the principal characters in Buck Hopper's Furry Basketball Association (FBA) is a red Cajun fox named Barton Rouge, who is a star shooter for the Biloxi Mudpuppies. Rouge has a tradition of ritually hexing the opposing team's basket prior to a game (effect of which is undetermined to date).
It had to start somewhere....
...oh, and his means of performing hexes is by flailing his arms rather comically... I can't remember how this detail developed, but it was immediately adorable."

I don't think i can describe in what capacity I love this picture. This is beyond cute. This is beyond epic. There are no words to describe it!
Barton is just beyond cute! His little Mudpuppies shirt is an awesome touch. The background is beautiful and really sets the atmosphere for the entire piece. I love the expression on the other critters. Honestly, I love everything about this picture.

Oh, 2-M! This is adorable!! Just seeing a picture of Barton Rouge is delightful enough, but to have him as a pup-- in his hometown swamp-- and practicing what will be his signature game opener is too much! I love how into it little Rouge is. And the expressions on the "hexed" are priceless. I love how they all have different reactions to the fox pup flailing his arms at them.
And seeing Rouge like this is really huge for me. I created the Barton Rouge character when I was just a kid. I've had him far longer than I've had Buck Hopper. He looks just wonderful in his overalls and his crucifix necklace and-- a Mudpuppies T-shirt! He's been a Biloxi fan since he was just a pup!
And already working on his hexing for the FBA! Hah! I'll bet LeBron wasn't practicing throwing powder when he was a kid.
