You stumble through the the darkness, being unlucky enough to stumble across a dead end, and staying for but a moment too long. You stumble again, buckling under the weight of something heavy falling upon your shoulders and back. Your hands grip onto more slime on the ground, which quickly tries to overtake your limbs as you struggle. Not that your struggles do anything, leaving you to flounder as sludge climbs across your body.
Something pushes from your face, and you manage to touch at your new mandibles before the slime drags your hand back down even as it changes to some sort of paw. Your legs squelch as they turn digitigrade, and you shudder at the sound even if there's no pain to accompany it. Any semblance of human voice disappears from your confused protests, and another pair of limbs begin to push out of your back.
You breathe heavily, struggling further as an abdomen, at first gray and dull but quickly lighting up your surroundings begins to emerge alongside them. Antennae twitch on your head and you experimentally move your new pair of limbs, unsure of what to make of your new body...
