7 YEARS in the making. A $5 commision for a Predator friend.
It is finally over. Finally.
FINALLY.
7 years. I STARTED DRAWING IT 7 YEARS AGO. I think I began in March 2016, but it might've been even earier. This might be the most detailed $5 furry artwork... altho I didn't really get paid $5, but I received a thing that was hardly worth that much anyway.
My friend was on vacation, I think in Turkey. He found a set of headphones which was good brand, but incredibly cheap. We made sure the packaging is official and it's not a rip-off. But guess what - it was.
Once I received the package and tested the headphones it sounded like if you were playing music from the gardening hose while wearing a bucket on your head. (*throws into trash*)
But since it was such a nice thing to be gifted something from a person I never met irl, I decided to draw something in return.
First I planned this to be me and my friend Predator playing Heartstone. Then I added my other friend Halwor, Predator's girlfriend and one friend we had, which we forced to be a raccoon, despite him never being and never going to be a furry. Well, Predator is also not a furry. And neither was his girlfriend
(PS: I'm so glad they broke up, if I had to draw 5 characters I'd lose it.)
The project was too ambicious from the beginning. Not because of amount of characters, as I used to draw 4+ in one image in gimp or MS paint, but more because of the details. I found a very good scales drawing tutorial ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fpCSzC0UPig ) and I began with my fursona (lizard at the time). It first went REALLY BAD.
And then it turned out to be actually quite ok! So I decided I'd finish the image and keep it consistent in terms of details...
I was attempting to finish it for months. I set a deadline: Late November, Predator's birthday. But once the day came I wasn't even close, so I asked "Aren't you supposed to have birthday... next year?"
And so the progress slowed down even more. How do you describe your negative motivation, if you managed to get a university degree and spend 4 years in souvenir store before you got enough willpower to finish a drawing? XDD
But in the end, I think the effect speaks for itself. It was clearly worth to wait 7 years to see this: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/50041583/
