I uploaded a bit of human artwork recently, and someone made a really awesome suggestion I just HAD to draw. Namely, do some of my characters' human forms. The first two choices were rather obvious. I may do more in the future, although probably WAY in the future. . . I need to get back to anthro work now that my short holiday vacation's over.
So yeah. I spent a few hours while working on another commission mulling it over in my head, and after careful consideration, I came up with this. Marcus Laramie (left) and Reis Northcote (right) in their human forms. . . in some crazy AU world where they aren't anthro animals.
Back to work now. But a nice reprieve from fur. . . seriously. I want to draw humans more often.

I imagined marcus a bit shorter and femboyish XD and reis black? what ethnicity would he be (sees that its shaded a bit)

Honestly... I thought that Reis would be more "white-trash small-town problematic-teen" type of looking guy. You just make him look even better that i first imagine that character. :P And Marcus... well looks just like Marcus.
Still i love the furry version of that characters much more. :)

Yea you are right, like I said in that way it fits better to the character personality. ;)
I just got some different associations with Reis at first sight, so i view that character in a totally different way... still that was kind of not strictly related to the novel story there.

It's really astounding how the complexity of Cruelty's characters changes when they become human.
It proves just how powerful the furry connection with animals really is. This went from a hit comic about two furs to just an everyday comic about two gay guys trying to deal with their pasts and the futures.
Sorry but the writer in me understands when you change species to real life humans it changes the plot of your story around ten fold since the connection with animals in furry is so strong.
I'm so attached to Reis in his wolf form it was really a surprise to me you chose interracial relationship which tells me you respect both ends of our society from the rough and tumble to the successful silver spoon.
I really do respect an artist who gets this because it proves you could be anyone of those two people at anytime in your life. I've swapped roles with Marcus and Reis. I was at one time a Marcus where I thought I had the life I wanted until three years ago in a couple days when me being naive really came to the front where I was put in the position of Reis. Some of it was my doing other parts of it weren't but the fact is I'm trying to break out of the Reis role just like Reis himself is trying to do.
It's not easy at all so that's why I always pull for Reis since I can relate to what he's been through and is trying to get out of.

Wow.....Reis is so.....sexeh! even as a human there's that hotness that just seems so natural
