A Hybrid is Born

Despite not being from the same species (or even the same planet for that matter), Bucky and his alien shapeshifter wife Jane Doe were able to conceive their boys together, though it was Bucky who ended up giving birth to them:

Bucky immediately loved his boys from the moment he laid eyes on them and while Jane Doe worried about their boys’ future, she too welcomed them with open gelatinous arms.

Bucky would fill the fun Dad role primarily while Jane Doe focused on educating the twins and also training them to use the abilities they inherited from her, though she noticed that there were some distinct differences between how her powers worked versus the twins, which she would later confirm was due to their paternal heritage.

As babies, Bu and Kee’s favorite toy was a stuffed dragon plushie that they would name Humph and Phree (Humphrey) and it would later serve an inspiration for the ultimate form the twins decide to take on later in life.

Bu and Kee’s known abilities include:

From Jane Doe’s side:
Shapeshifting
Flight
Energy beams
Ability to erase memories

From Bucky’s side:
Toon physiology/physics
Near imperviousness to lasting damage
Access to hammerspace (the ability to pull out objects from behind)

Unique to the twins:
Bu: Empath (ability to read emotions, but cannot hear the words behind them)
Kee: Telepath (ability to hear thoughts, but cannot sense the emotions behind them)
