Yeah.
Got vaccinated on base, been wearing masks all the time, socially distancing myself like any computer-obsessed recluse would these days, and somehow in the year 2022 as we approach the anniversary of Covid coming into existence, it finally caught up with me. Either while taking advantage of an early snowfall to go snowboarding in gorilla costume, or when I went for a quick shopping trip afterwards. Ugh.
Aside from that though, I was legit getting hooked on FF XIV again, but I'm starting to reach burnout after finally completing Stormblood (gotta do all the post-Stormblood stuff now to finally reach Shadowbringers content). Not going to work this week, so maybe if I recover a bit faster, I can get some more story stuff knocked out.
But that goes for the render comics too! Brokul's adventure still has a couple of meet-ups to occur (and some nice beef to look at, hurrhurhuruhr), and one day I'll wrap up the beast-dudes-tropical-hangout-slumber-party-thing which honestly doesn't have a lot left to it anyway.
Hope everyone takes care, and obviously I'm gonna type something about "remember covid is still out there, stay healthy, stay vaccinated, stay safe", but yeah. Try to have fun out there, but keep doing what you gotta do to take care of yourself!

Yeeeah, I'm not too surprised when I look at just the facts, but I am surprised when I look at the...meh, timing I guess.
I'm in a pretty any-vax part of the US, I went to a Ski Hill with folks who were from here and who likely traveled from afar, didn't wear a mask when indoors or on the chairlifts, went shopping in a packed store shortly after...the odds were against me, and I just didn't take the usual precautions. It probably seems less common because we've been dealing with it for so long, and because we assumed that the greater majority of our communities have been vaccinated.
Gotta be careful about those assumptions, it seems. But I do appreciate it buddy, I'm getting better over here one day at a time...!

Thaaaank you. Yeah, I bought Shadowbringers when it came out, starting my adventure with FF XIV...then I grinded my way through ARR and had to take a six month break, lol. Finally got back on, grinded through Heavenward (far more enjoyable). Then I took a year break.
Now, looking at the Main Scenario Quest List, turns out I'm not totally done with Stormblood, cause I haven't actually gotten the Stormblood quest itself, lol. I'm just a few quests away.
But for sure, Shadowbringers is what everyone was / is talking about in terms of where FF XIV gets really good, so I'm still looking forward to it. Though ironically I've probably listened to the Shadowbringers soundtrack more than I've actually played any FF XIV content. xD

Totally am now! Mostly, still got cough and shortness of breath, but I was good enough to go snowboarding in a blizzard the other day, so woo! Also hey, I'm totally good with meeting up with folks in FF XIV—I play on Diabolos. My two characters are "Bronx Wildmane" which is my main I'm playing through the Story on (I main Monk/Tank/Sage), and then "Balthazar Shadowmane" who I don't play as often, yet have higher levels in multiple jobs...cough.
Bronx is mundane, so jobs like Monk, Gunbreaker, Machinist and such. Balthazar is magical, so Black Mage, Paladin, Summoner and White Mage and the like.........gosh I could type a lot about this sort of thing.
