This feather is a gift for Jeanne, another volunteer at the "http://horizonwings.org Center. As soon as I met Jeanne, I knew I'd met an awesome person. She taught me the ropes at the center, helping me learn and showing patience when I made mistakes. I know I have a lot more to learn, and with Jeanne I'm confident that I have a good teacher.

Thanks for everything you've done, for everything you've taught me, and for letting me borrow peanuts to win Julian's approval!

About the merlin on this feather - I didn't know too much about Maeve, and sadly she passed before I was at Horizon Wings. From what Jeanne has told me, Maeve was a non-releasable merlin who had the sweetest personality and was on her way to becoming a great program bird. I hope this feather does her memory justice.
