Technically not in remission but we beat it down so far it seems to be unable to get the strength to keep growing.
So I shouldn't need anymore treatments, I get check-ups every 6 months to make sure it stays beat down.

Thyroid cancer is weird, I don't need Chemo so I keep my hair (I just like bandannas lol) and don't get too sickly but I have to eat Radioactive Iodine and go into isolation. They also have to have me off my meds when I do it and so I feel like shit for roughly a month or 2 while I'm off my meds and waiting for them to kick back in.

Oi that sounds sucky as hell. I'm glad its beaten down though! It must be such a relief to not have that burdening your life anymore.

It's good not having to deal with feeling like crap so they can feed me radiation every year. I hope they never have to again.

Are you using coco butter on it? I hear that helps lighten scars.

I don't do anything for my scar. After they cut my neck open and people started telling me tricks to fade the scar I decided if it fades it fades if not oh well.

It's kinda cool! Now when Angel starts dating, you can pull the guy close, look in his eyes and say "So. You're taking my Angel out on a date. Son, you wanna know how I got this scar?"
