My scratch-built replica of the Saturn I SA-7 round using plans in Peter Alway's book: The Art of Scale Model Rocketry. Every part cut and shaped by hand with the exception of the Apollo boilerplate CM and the transition. Those large solid balsa parts were sub-contracted out to Balsa Machining Service. Decals were either by Saturn Press or the NAR Bookstore. This model has flown just a few times. The last flight being at NARAM-59. It was photographed several times by Mr. Alway, and the editor of Sport Rocketry magazine. I believe the scale ratio on this model is 1:125. A video of this model being flow will reel tonight on Funday Pawpet Show.
