Maël has been an enthusiastic cook since his youth. Even before his 14th birthday, he cooked his mother a multi-course meal for her birthday. Maël was introduced to the art of cooking by his father Morris, who was a famous chef in France. In the 1980s, he was discovered by Gaylord Wuffinger, who brought him to Switzerland. Today, he is passionate about creating a good mix between European, Asian, American and African cuisine. Maël is married to his wife Ambre. He has two children. His son Leon has taken up the same profession as his father. And has achieved one star so far. Maël and his son cook regularly, in the canteen of headquarters in the Josefwiese. His daughter Alice is a member of the Social Democrats of Switzerland and was responsible for social affairs and education in the city government from 2001 to 2011. Maël trained several up-and-coming chefs, and even runs a course for amateur cooks at the Migros Club on Limatplatz. And the motto: "Cooking yourself is cheaper than eating in a restaurant".
