I made this after a very specific event that had struck me very hard a few years back. It forced me to really assess some things about where I really stand on those issues. However, the image was never finished as I didn't want people to think that I was trying to profit off of said event in some way. Even so, these were some characters that I loved to write and draw a bout at the time and their stories are somewhat personal to me in an assortment of ways. I wondered how would each of them respond to said event and the fact of the matter was that all three despite their gender, sexual orientation and even religious beliefs would all respond in the exact same way. That's the kind of people they are.

I also didn't have the heart to draw the other two members of their group as I felt it would have been too crowded.
