If you scan back through my gallery a bit you'll find a Sonic Heros styled team called Team Astray(I think). It was basically my attempt at making Sonic fan characters, only... they kinda sucked. Well, except fro Sol, he looked badass.

But the one that most stuck in my head was Mar. He was special. So when the idea came along to start a Sonic RPG(even though it never quite came to fruitition) and develop an original Sonic character of my own, Mar was the first thing that came to mind.

I dunno how easy to tell it is, but I originally structured his appearance after, thus the goggles and the hairstyle, and crafted his name from Jak of the "Jak and Daxter" series of games(Jak's real name is "Mar" ). But now that I was revamping him, I took a whole different personality approach, making him something of a technophile and a total coward. And though it's not pictured, I really wanted to see him wielding a giant wrench for some reason XD

Sol reappeared as well to serve as a backup character for Mar. Since Mar is meak and timid, he needed someone to look up to and someone to look out for him. Enter one mangey wolf with a bad attitude and enough physical strength to take on an army all on his own. Sol is pretty much the exact opposite of Mar in every possible way. He's strong, never back down from a fight, uses course language, and does pretty much whatever he damn well pleases with no regard to the feelings and opinions of those around him. He kind of guy who'd knock you on your ass for looking at him funny. Strangely enough, Mar is the only person he seems to act even remotely kind around for reasons almost completely unknown."
