As many of you may have guessed by now, one of the foremost influences on my work is the cult 80s Canadian show The Raccoons (hence why SPCM is seemingly dominated by the little ringtailed buggers). I recently had a bit of unexpected free time, and since I didn't have anything better to do, I decided to acknowledge the Raccoons influence in some way. My original intention was to draw Kyoko in a Bert Raccoon-style sweater. But then I realized that Lisa Raccoon might be a more appropriate choice - being that her proportions are a closer match to Kyoko's. And then I remembered the basketball outfit Lisa wore in a couple of episodes. Enough said, really...
