Hoo Laddie, it's time for another sketch dump. This time featuring my newest OC 'Dierdre Black, the Loch Ness Monster. Or more specifically a Cryptid most commonly identified as the Loch Ness Monster. She's got some Ballad of Nessie's "Nessie" in her design inspiration, as well as noodley dragonesses such as Raya and so forth. Sort of a chocolate and peanut butter mixed together to make a perfect combination of the two...with I hope a vast degree of creative design innovation to make her stand out. I'm probably going to be doing a lot of copy+pasting for this post as well, because I've got four sheets here, but I'll try to write a little blurb on each discussing the goal of each sheet I drew up.

Lastly we have the 'refined' sheet, the pre-stage to an eventually character sheet Which I have yet to draw). Basically just playing around with expressions, finalizing the name, and getting a nice long shot of her in all her mysterious cryptid glory. Whether she's actually the last of her kind or simply the last holdout of her species who refused to move out to warmer waters, I haven't decided on yet. But I do like her being gloomy and timid, so I'll more than likely favor the former.
