Oh... I knew you made it you're self. But 5th Element was made in 1997? I thought it was in the 80's. Anyway, 80's or 90's its still a good movie.

to be fair the movie captures the feel of 80's sci-fi very well.

I always thought it was from the 80's. But probably should have looked into it.

Well part of the reason may be because Luc Besson (who directed and wrote the film) had been working on it since he was a kid. A great deal of the inspiration behind the movie came from Blade Runner, which was an 80's film.

Apparently he did... but I haven't seen that movie.. Hmm maybe I should, I've seen just about every other Luc Besson film.

It's not a bad movie, not really good, but worth watching. Unlike "Ballistic Ecks vs. Sever" the worst movie I have ever seen. Even if some one likes bad movies they would still hate it. It isn't even funny to make fun of. Well that was off topic but The Big Blue is a decent movie, and it WAS made in the 80's.
