This is a bit of an intense look for Copper.

He's struggled with a lot of physical and mental issues, a few of which were unable to be described or understood, and it's hurt his self-esteem and his outlook on life. His type of fervor didn't seem to pick up on the mental and emotional messages of others, which put him at a severe disadvantage. It also inhibited certain skills other Teijru could manage like psychokinesis, making him feel inferior overall. Whether or not this condition caused it, however, Copper's mind is a mess. He has major depression, which certainly affects his productivity and his overall health, and the trauma he's experienced over time has only strengthened its effect. But he also gets major anxiety, usually from social phobias, and it can be overwhelming.

This anxiety ends up awakening something in Copper when he's abducted by a foreign alien race. His emotions and his tension induced phenomena that he had never been aware of, and when his anxiety and anger reach their peak, he learns his weird fervor can manage some incredible things...
