Custom Stormhammer for 40k
This is what happens when Nynaeve gets a burr up his butt about an imperial guard tank, then managed to find most of the bits needed at a flea market. Of course I helped with the Shadowsword upper hull and baneblade turret mods. He figured out all the rest. Except the headlights. All mine!

I miss having a Godzilla army. All large Tyranid bugs, and 21 little ripper swarm bases, all in black and white...being chased by Godzilla, Gigan, Baragon (Carnifexs) Rodan and Ghidorah (Hive Tyrants), three Zoanthropes I painted up as Hedorah, and three Lictors...I can't remember what I had them as. But it was awesome, cheapish, , and fun.
I've always loved the Nids. Recently got back into the plastic habit with Underworlds, then Warcry/Kill Team and now I'm sliding into 40k and Age of Sigmar. Got me that Tyranid Combat Patrol box with a few genestealers and a Tervigon model.
I also find favor with Papa Nurgle, but that's a whole 'nother heresy.

Awesome! Always loved the fact that the Imperial Guard (and large chunks of the tin cans, but whatever) was basically supplied by the Mechanicus going "What can we kitbash today?" and pretending they're not. That one looks wonderful; I am always in the yay category for treads, metal, and as many guns as you can stuff into the superstructure and chassis.
Steel Legion player here-- kinda, never could get enough of the right figs, so I painted the easier-to-get ones in Steel Legion colors and threw a lot of vehicles at a Pakisher and Plasma tanks parade. Love the superheavies. I've always had love for metal and threads and big, big guns. It made me sad when I realized that since I was never going to play on a scale where the Earthshaker's range would make up for its own vulnerabilities.
I switched to wyverns, which always made me feel like I was mowing the lawn with daisy-cutters.
Anyway. Beautiful work.

Secret fact...the mantle for a Baneblade turret's guns...is hollow. The backside is an open rectangle that will fit two Leman Russ Battlecannons. That's how I made twin turrets for a Macharius kitbash. And I will do so again for this beauty to match the OG Stormhammer.
