The wish fish sat over stuffed and slightly miserable on the couch, the little dragon he resided with was still wearing her little red outfit and flittering about her home cleaning up after their mess from unwrapping gifts. She had somehow managed to buy him things while he was unaware. And even though half of his gifts were alcoholic, the rest were well thought out little ensembles. But watching her flittering all around the living room made him thirsty. So he worked his way to the kitchen and took out a can. With his head in the fridge he heard her call his name. And he assumed it was for another of these odd little traditions she had picked up for the day. So he absent mindedly nodded and agreed and set his can on the table.

This would be a mistake, because he should have known not to ignore the little dragon that had up until she needed to clean, had been drinking a little with him. He popped open his drink and turned as she unremittingly called him for his attention. And he turned to nod at her, and seriously regretted not listening as she caught him off guard.
