When visiting the mortal realm, Ryoko disguise herself as a regular chicken to fit around, however her magic isn't perfect and made herself looking like a creature from a show. She stayed at the Elder Dragon temple being teach by a master there. Ryoko learn a few fighting style from the teacher, and learn about the world she is staying at. Ryoko does discover some stuff about an elder dragon that lived around here, even meeting her mom who is one of the five elemental goddess in that world
