What started as a meme picture  graystar-10 created, turned into one of the longest picture projects of 2022; in fact, as of its completion, it was the 2nd longest and only an hour or two behind “The Big One” of the year.

Here we have Coco belonging to  pkmndiamond493, my Volvautia in Eevee form but dressed for Espeon form, and Colette belonging to Graystar all looming over our sonas respectively. >w> Down below we have Josh the Flareon, Clypse the Umbreon, and Lucien the Linoone.

This picture took as long as it did for two reasons.

1) Three characters with this level of interaction on the same plane adds an enormous level of difficulty in managing layers. So for example, part of the layer order went 1) Colette chest, 2) Colette legs, 3) Coco chest, 4) Volvautia head, 5) Volvautia chest, 6) Coco legs & torso, 7) Coco head, 8) Volvautia legs, 9) Colette head. And this picture probably had well over 300 layers to it. As I was doing this, I learned I needed to come up with a new means of layer management because the final step, colorizing the lineart took way too long due to scrolling the massive list of layers.

2) 100% digital is my 2nd highest grade of picture I can do. Only lineless digital stands above this. This was also the first 100% digital picture that fully utilized my new shading style. It was wonderful because the last time I did Coco was with her bikini, and that bikini was one of the reasons I invented the new digital style. It was sooo much easier to handle this time around.
