For most of my pony characters, I've been making flat fullbodies as reference images. However, I decided to go with a full model sheet for her, due to the complexity of her design.

Black Ink is artificially augmented government spy. She has been marked with an assortment of magical tattoos, each granting her a unique ability, though she can only have one active at a time. Although her calligraphy tattoo can be mistaken as such, she has no cutie mark: part of the augmentation process.

To avoid her unique appearance drawing unwanted attention, she often wears a black duster. This also spares artists from drawing all those complex tattoos.
