Though he was a simple, honest writer, once upon a time, Franklin Jess was always enraptured the stories of mafia mob bosses from before Big City was created and Averington was the largest city in the toon-iverse. The big suits, the grand heists, the mobster lifestyle, he couldn't get enough of it, and began work on his own series of books following his fictitious mafia gang. Unfortunately, honest wasn't the only adjective that could describe Franklin, and while his series did have a few loyal fans, the series was met by wide spread criticism that slowly ate away at the author.
One harsh review too many later, and Franklin decided that if toons couldn't understand the literary genius that was behind his books, he would have to show them himself. Taking from his books, he donned his now signature look, his best italian mobster accent, and from then on went by the name of Franky Mustello. He spent some time as a small time independent criminal until the infamous Etc. Inc. Database Heist that made him and several other small names into big ones. Many fans of his book series flocked to him after, and combined with the data and research he stole, became the head of one of the most prominent street gangs within the toon-iverse selling black market weapons such as The Typewriter, a gun that's become very synonymous with the gang's identity, and made sure that the name Franky Mustello was a name to be feared and respected.
