While on holiday, I discovered how to use my mobile hotspot to connect my laptop to the internet, and since I have a mobile data plan, I'll be able to use this to work on uploading some of my art online while I'm away. :D

Partially inspired by Gazelle, the gigs I've been to recently to see Within Temptation, Evanescence and The Birthday Massacre (and my own musical tastes and what it means for me), how gothic rock is comfort music for me :3 and my love for giraffes, here's a gothic rock singer character - Whisper. ❤️I really love how her design came out here. :D

The lead singer for the popular gothic rock band 'Midnight Paw', Whisper used to be a very quiet child and used to find it difficult to open up to others around her as she lived in a family where she didn't feel she belonged and was an outcast. Being bullied for being 'different' and 'not fitting in' with the other children and for her darker tastes in fashion and music, she was ostracised for a large portion of her youth. Luckily, when she reached out to fellow outcasts from her school and started singing with other fellow minded children from the neighbourhood including her future boyfriend Ransley the Rabbit/Bat hybrid, she began to feel more alive and become more confident in herself, allowing herself to connect to similarly minded individuals like her fellow band members and the audience they slowly but surely gained over the years as those she felt happy and liberated to find how many others related to her. :)

When she's outside of gig venues or music practice, she gets surprisingly quick to panic and unable to express herself properly - music and songwriting is both a comfort and a way she finds it easier to express how she properly feels and it is her version of therapy, and she wanted to put together her gigs as ways to be a place where her fans and friends can feel accepted. Also, burnout is unfortunately something she doesn't often take into account, and she usually has to be pulled off the settee in the morning by her band mates. :o
