It was another usual morning for Zachary, a local artic wolf in the Tundratown district of Zootopia. He strolled down the lightly icy sidewalk just another muzzle in the crowd, unaware that that crowd were being pickpocketed. He had been doing this for years, using his powerful canine nose to identify how much money and where it was located in his victim's possession. No one was safe not even the polar bears, his claws were able to reach into their back pockets or purses opening zippers and lifting what was inside before anyone was aware until they were three blocks away. Not a single fur had an inkling that he was behind it.
"ZPD stop right there!" a female voice commanded.
His fur stood a bit on end, there goes his perfect record. He turned to face his foe, a gray fur female bunny in the familiar blue colors of the ZPD uniform. If she hadn't been flashing her badge, he probably would have thought she was a stuffed toy playing dress up. The bunny officer wasn't alone though, her partner an orange fox was now catching up almost out of breath. He too wore a ZPD uniform which included a pair of aviators on his head.
"Huff, carrots you need to huff...slow down I almost slipped back there." he spoke.
So her name was carrots?
"Nick this is Ice Phantom Pickpocket of Tundra town; I caught him red pawed." She said.
"Look officer carrots I have no idea what you're talking about." Zachary said. She was just a bunny she had no chance against him, if they got in a tussle, he'd probably tear her stuffing out. So, he was doing her a favor. "Now if you'll excuse me, I need to get to the fish market before I miss the sale on Cod." That wasn't a lie he was on his way there to spend some of his stolen money.
"You're lying one of the wallets you stole was from one of our undercover officers it has a tracker on it. Now come quietly or I will have to use force."
Nick had now caught his breath. "I'd listen to her if I were you, getting your butt kicked by a rabbit "
Zachary swallowed, so that's how his perfect record was burst. But still she didn't have any concrete proof, unless they brought in one of their bear officers he was in the clear.
"I'm sorry but I don't understand your sci fi mumbo jumbo. Unless you've got some proof, I'm going to enjoy a 25-pound cod that I'm going to turn into four-pound fish sandwiches."
He turned his back to the officer and had taken a few steps, Officer Carrots dashed past him and blocked his path.
"I said to come quietly," she spoke.
"Oh, you're in for it now," Nick said.
"I gave you a chance to walk away, don't blame me for getting squashed!" Zachary said.
The Arctic wolf threw a punch aiming for her torso, but his paw only struck open air. Carried by the momentum of the failed blow he stumbled forward a bit. He would have come to a stop if something plump and firm hadn't bumped his butt. He stumbled further only catching himself in a snowdrift along the sidewalk.
"Oh, the butt bump!" Nick called from the sidelines like he's a fan. "She's not even taking you seriously! If you want to save what's left of your wolf pride, you'll surrender."
Zachary dusted his coat sleeves and turned to face the bunny cop. Wait something was different about her, Carrot's legs were thicker including her hips and butt. How he knew the later that's what she was showing if off and teased him by slapping her big butt at him.
That's it the claws were coming out! He charged this time taking more care, again he aimed for her uniform. Ripping through her precious outfit might teach her some manners and get her to back off.
Still, she side stepped him, his claws finding only empty cold air, with agility that seemed to be above a normal rabbit's ability. Was she some kind of Olympic athlete? There were some cases of furs excelling so well in their divisions that they were moved up to a higher one in competitions.
No butt bump this time but he felt her paws reach for his pocket and underneath his coat. He turned to face her, his fur bristled, in her paws were filled with wallets of different sizes. The pickpocketer was now the pickpocketee.
"T-those are my spare wallets." he spoke.
She held up one fit for a rhino, letting it fall open. You must have had a lot of work done, removing your horn and getting hair implants.
He growled his teeth like small knives on full display his claws. That was it he was going to put her in the hospital, he advanced on her Judy tossed the wallets up into the air towards her partner Nick.
She pressed a button on her glove, he stopped his ears picked up what sounded like air hissing. Was it some kind of bomb or gun?
No, she didn't aim her glove at him, but she appeared to be growing. Her entire suit was expanding like it was giant balloon. Her arms and legs swelled up becoming rounder and more muscular. She even grew about half a foot. Her belly, chest, and especially her butt inflated becoming rounder like she was a sumo wrestler. Did they have bunny sumo wrestlers.
Zachary laughed. "What do your uniforms come with airbags now?"
"Oh, you've done it now." Nick said.
Officer Carrots spun 180 degrees like she was an ice skater. Like a rocket she threw her wide butt at the wolf criminal. He had no chance the huge officer bunny booty slammed into him sending him into the snow drift. Zachary wasn't done yet; it would be a crime if he didn't try to recover his wolf pride. He got out of the snow drift lunging for the huge rabbit cop. Surely at this size she should be easy to land a blow. But no, it was like the suit had increased her abilities tenfold, she dodged every blow. Now it was Carrots turn, she landed a single blow into Zachary's belly. Bunny agility Zachary ad heard of, but strength was something that never existed. He doubled over in pain it didn't feel like there was a bruise, not unless he counted his ego, but it was enough to knock the wind out of him.
Carrots capitalized on it she lunged forward and put him into a headlock.
Zachary remembered something in that moment usually he didn't pay attention to the news, but he did remember a rabbit being added to the ZPD, her name was Judy. She and her partner Nick were responsible for solving the savage carnivore case. There was also one more piece of news his mind was now finding. He had been heard about a giant rabbit bringing down badgers, badgers, tigers, and even bears.
For the first time in their fight, he was able to get a hold of her now huge arms. But it was all in vain, no matter how hard his claws dug into the suit they weren't able to puncture it, let alone dig into it. He desperately struggled to free himself; his muzzle burned from the embarrassment of the situation.He couldn't even talk now, the headlock wasn't suffocating him, but he couldn't expend any air talking.
Nick approached, clapping the wallets. "Well done officer Judy your huge butt of the law has taken down another crook," he said teasingly.
"Oh, ha ha. Bring the cruiser up we've got a lot of wallets to return to their owners."
Zachary complied learning his lesson a little too late. Nick went on ahead, and Judy led him still in the headlock. They passed by some civilian furs who laugh or snickered at the sight of the bunny leading the wolf, his furry butt next to her giant inflated bunny butt. The embarrassment hurt far worse than his stomach.
