That's Nick in the narrator box, and Crosis with the yin-yang. A bit of one showed up in a previous chapter with Atiel and the Knight, but Crosis has experience on him.. hence the clarity of the symbol.
That being said, there IS a deity in SunSpots that's a shi, it isn't Sheda, though.
