Oh gosh, that title, hahaha. A thousand apologies; I don't know what to title this.
This one took me forever. It was intended to be a quick speedpaint, but a family member of mine distracted me with serious conversation late into the morning while I was setting up the base of this (yes I draw green fluffy cats while serious discussioning, don't give me that face) and I, while distractedly, compulsively went back to the habit of piling on details.
(Then of course, I had to finish it that way.)
This one is a surprise Christmas gift for
centradragon, of her green dragon-cat fursona(?) character, Meaux!
(CD! You don't draw enough of your own characters; I had to sneak around to find just this one! I hope didn't capture her too off script, I couldn't find a charactersheet to work off, haha.)
I don't know centradragon too well, but she seems like a pretty cool lady. And she does seriously killer paintings, of which I'm a huge fan of!
It's also a little thank you for being a sweetheart and being patient with me (because of my online activity inconsistency). :)
This is.. banal, cliche, not-so-exciting and I wish I had done a better job with the colors (what are colors; I still cannot comprehend), sorry. I tried, haha. Hope you can still enjoy it!

But colors are what I'm worse at! Mine are boring! They are the hardest and I don't understand them the most. I need to take/understand basic color theory.
Haha, but I do take that as a compliment! (I seem to be making everyone that looks at my stuff psychedelic recently-- or is it that anyone that would be interested in my stuff is crazy to begin with; either way, I will also take that as a compliment too.) I'm glad you enjoy them anyway.

Omggg! This is so awesome! /sob What a lovely gift... The details and fur and everythingggggg! ;-; I SO wish I had Internet and wasn't stuck on my phone right now... I can't wait to see her on my big screen lol. :D

and what are you talking about with compliments on details. You're nuts. That coming from you! You're the Detail Queen with all your beautiful painting details and fur texture!! (and speed!!, let me trade my soul for this ((under the assumption/implication I have a soul left)))

As much as I love the commissioned work (heh heh, I don't have any personal investment there or anything), in all the time I've watched your work, I think I can count on a single hand the times I've seen your original characters pop, haha. I'd be interested to see what your own concepts/ideas are like!
(p.s. - I'm not sure if you noticed or not, but the scarf colors are specifically picked. /investigation mode )

The way you drew her fur makes me wanna run my hand through it. ;_; And well, I have a few original paintings brewing... so eventually I'll need to finish/post them. XD I really want to get some more stuff out in my gallery, as fun as commissions are.
