...okay, I was gone a LOOOOOOOOOOOONG time. I'm going to explain that soon. It was no one's fault but my own.

I kept avoiding talking about what was going on out of embarrassment, but I'm sure I caused some worrying because I left for so long.

I saw a few mistakes on the last picture and I wanted to correct those. I'm going to scrap the last version. I don't like deleting anything, I suck. 😂

Update Log:
- Ana's legs were changed to be more level and close together. The older pose bugged me badly for some reason?? I guess it seemed really... unbalanced? I was too busy trying to make a "dynamic" pose, I didn't care about anatomy.

- The dress fluff was changed to look more three-dimensional and fluffy. The last bit of fluff looked flat.

- Her shoulder fur was changed.

- Her tail was cleaned up a bit.

- I changed something else I forgot about, but it was me being pedantic.

Miss Ana Minkku~

Here's the new character I was talking about. Among the Rig mumbo-jumbo, I worked on updating the designs of older characters and making new ones. Only a handful of the Youkai AU characters show up in this series and I was trying to place them all in a certain role.

Then came Ana.

While playing L.A. Noire, I started growing... attached to Cole Phelps. He was this likable, but kinda stiff character. The Shakespeare scene. The "Doubt" face. How constipatedly straight and narrow he tried to be. What a freaking DORK!

Then, Elsa. I ship them. I felt the chemistry between them. I understood why he did what he did. And, I felt sorry for him.

Ana came about because of me thinking up a "L.A. Noire AU". Rigby was the "Cole Phelps" and Ana was the "Elsa Lichtmann". I made her on the spot because I needed a femme fatale character (Sakura is his partner, she doesn't work and so is Bonito. In fact, this is the first AU where Bonito isn't Rigby's main, designated significant other!)

So, I had fun writing some angst with Rigby being lonely and ostracized for being in a relationship with her.

Soon, I grew a bit bored of that and moved on. But, I still liked Ana. I needed her to be in the main AU. She was later moved into the main universe with the same career and such, just with the LAN stuff scrubbed away.

Her original name was Anna (but pronounced the same way as Ana). I wasn't aware that "Ana" wasn't spelled like "Anna". 🤦🏾‍♂️ (Her name was a stealth pun. Elsa and Anna? Remind you of something? 😏)

She originally had white fur and looked like a mixture of Miss Bianca (The Rescuers), Miss Kitty (The Great Mouse Detective), and Minerva Mink (Ani- you know where).

That design was SO hard to get down correctly and drove me NUTS! So, I decided to look up other mink characters on Google as well as the actual animal. I forgot how cute they were!!! 🥰😍 I actually drew a mink years ago because of that, but... they look so ugly now. 🤮

To be fair, I find Minerva kinda mid, too. Like, what's the appeal? 😐 (Now, Newt and Wilford? AWOOGA! 😛)
Ulp, here comes the furry fandom to lynch me for that heresy.

The gray fur was another lucky coincidence, but I won't say she had NO inspiration behind it. I ran into fanart of Mari from BNA and... THAT solved my initial issue with her design: SHE LOOKED TOO MUCH LIKE A MOUSE.

I SHOULDN'T HAVE MODELED HER AFTER A MOUSE, A MOUSE, AND A "MINK" IN A WIG!

So, using Mari as a base, I modeled her after her more with Chuck Jones accents (her eyes and mouth). I was going to make her brown and white, but decided on grays, because I HAVE VERY FEW GRAY CHARACTERS. Not to mention, gray mink characters seem to be rare? I didn't fully research, but yeah. I made two sketches with them switching outfits that have the same joke and I love it.

I love the long neck! It looks animalistic, but she still looks humanoid! I'm getting closer to the look I wanted for my art!

Here we go! An actual mink! Not a blonde-tailed mouse in a wig! 😊

Because I have a dark, twisted sense of humor, I thought it'd be funny to have her constantly wear fur-trimmed outfits, including this extremely short dress that's... showing off... her... nice... legs... 🥵
*ahem!*
And, Sakura often makes jokes about skinning her to make her into a stole. It's messed up all around. 🥰

Ana Minkku hails from some part of Europe. It's probably Ru- *flashbacks* Uk- *more flashbacks* Romania. It's Romania. 😐

She doesn't have the upper white around her muzzle. Odd. Then again, she looks like a farm mink- *even more flashbacks* She's an American Mink. 😐

She works as a lounge singer. In the morning (the AU takes place at night, so nighttime is the "day" for them and the day is "night"), Rig visits the joint and watches her perform. He has a few drinks and listens to her sing her heart out. A few times, she's even brought him to tears. The two met in an aforementioned Spoiler episode on the last image. They trash talk an older character I placed in a certain role.

She works there to pay for her apartment. She lost a dear friend recently and Rigby helps to solve that case.

"Minkku" isn't her real surname. It's a stage name. She won't tell anyone her real last name.

Before you ask, she doesn't get as irritated as Mari gets when you mistake her for a weasel, but she does dislike it. (Piss her off, it'll amuse me. 😈)

I don't want to refer to her as a femme fatale, because of the implications of that, but ...dames ain't nuthin' but trouble.
