Sarge found himself rhythmically rubbing the mass of brown and cream he had before him. It was almost a complete flipping of a switch. Last week, he felt active, able to move around, touch his toes... but this week, after the first delivery that came on Thursday, that energy suddenly dropped. He felt more lethargic than usual, finding simple tasks to be requiring "too much work." When he got his second delivery of donuts that day, he finally understood why. Lazy Lemons. His patented doughnut was snuck into his last delivery... and only after eating his second one did it fully occur to him there was a hint of lemon.

"This is... going to be problematic," he said, pressing his hands into the dough-covered ball of fat he now hefted around. "If memory serves, one lazy lemon makes one lazy for a day. Two lazy lemons makes one lazy for a week. Three lazy lemons... a month." Sarge gulped. He was thankful he'd noticed it only after the two, but he was now preparing for the worst. His brain had already shifted toward the side of addiction to eating, stuffing himself, and getting fatter. He didn't need an addiction / desire for becoming lazy, too!

"Then again..." Sarge looked at the desk where his journal was. Sighing, he mustered up the determination to sit himself down and he started writing. "Day 20. Donut quantities have stayed constant." He then read down the list of criteria and continued to read them aloud.

"Stretchmarks?" He placed a hand on the side of his belly. Brushing away the fur, he could see a prominent tear in his skin.... "Prominent."

"Belly size?" Sarge noted that his belly now completely filled the chair he was in. Sitting at a table would now be hard again, as his belly almost moved to the end of his knees when he sat down. "Getting bigger."

"Will power?" Sarge thought to himself. "Low."

"Want to fatten up?" Sarge poked his belly. The idea of getting even bigger seemed to... arouse his excitement. "Increasing."

"Laziness?" Sarge nodded, leaning back in the chair and hoisting his paws onto the coffee table. "Also increasing..."

"Addiction Level?" Sarge bit the end of his pen. "Uhm..." He remembered trying to stop eating donuts yesterday, but the desire to keep eating food was almost overwhelming to him. "High."

Sighing, Sarge finished writing in the journal before placing it at his side. "I feel I should stop myself, but it's just so much effort." Sarge thought back to the Lazy Lemons, realizing his current mindset was being altered by them. "Shoulda taken care of it last week when I wasn't so lazy..."

Sarge closed his eyes, rubbing his belly rhythmically again. "Eh, I'll figure it out next week."
