I start first with a smaller version of the planed knife, just to become a feeling for the lines. And because i use more types of steel, it's better to make first a simpler version. And yes there some problems for the big knife. Also without hardening the steel block is to hard to bore howls into it, fir the pattern. So i have to change the pattern concept for the final work. And here the raw blade with the raw handle.
