Appearance & reputation: The first impression is of a normal, powerful, massive and impressive guy but once others discover that he son of the notorious, creepy, genius Matthias Sætansen, he gets often freeway.

Quite robust and muscular with heavy bones. Slightly convex back and an overall tiger-like frame. Very big and powerful paws. He has a large scar at the left side of his body, just below his spine. He has no function loss, see his story. Tail is average in length and the tip often carried upwards.
Rather narrow head with pretty high cheekbones. Triangular shaped, rather fine muzzle. Subtle roman profile with a little ‘stop’. Round, typical tiger eyes - Aquamarine colour, with a little blue tint. He has an intense stare. Upwards pointing, average sized, pointy ears.
Dark blue, like a Russian Blue cat but a bit darker. More like anthracite. His fur is soft but looks a bit spiky. Full mane with ‘spike like’ hair. Long pointy shoulder-crest. Long hair at the connective pieces of skin between his body and limbs. Fluffy tail. Hair at the sides of his head is pointy. Little mohawk and little beard. Little lynx tips at the ears.

Axel is usually quite on his own and not interested in communication with other siderians. He only gives his own interests attention, so he can appear boring. Although he has so his own peculiar interests and can be surprisingly playful in certain circumstances.
He’s quite bold, daring and fearless, sometimes taking a little too many risks. He’s hard and imperturbable and comes across as rather cold to outsiders. However, if you know him better; you may notice his funny, (but blunt) sarcasm and playful nature underneath.
He’s quite territorial and in a way loyal to the defense of his land and yet stubborn in other ways. Once he has an idea, he’s hard to influence.

STORY
Axel was the second born son of Alva and Matthias. It was mostly his mother who raised him and his two years older brother. His father was mostly occupied with other things, which were a bit of a mystery to Axel, but he didn’t give it much further thought. Sometimes, it made him curious what his invisible father was doing deep down in Fortress Sætansen, but his mother and brother kept him occupied enough with other challenges.
During his childhood, his mother has always been stern and disciplined and yet stimulated his independence. However, Axel’s rather bold, fearless personality nearly got him killed in his adolescent years. In an bold attempt to attack prey much bigger than him, he got torn open by large antlers or horns. Thanks to the adequate actions of his mother Alva and the healers in MistFjord, it didn’t leave him more than a big, superficial scar on the left side his spine.
As a young adult, he got a little more in contact with his strange father and was getting more active in strictly patrolling and defending the family lands, together with his brother. This was also the time that he explored his own hobbies and interest more. Once, when he was on patrol, he spotted an unfamiliar black sideress. He instantly had a crush and flirted with her. Eventually the crush became mutual and his new mate, Malta, was invited to live on the Sætansen lands. Soon their son Ravn was born. However, there were several dangers lurking around. When the daughter of his brother died in a snare-trap, Malta decided to leave to her own, safer homelands. Apparently she was already pregnant of their next cub. Axel found it difficult to let go of his mate but eventually he resumed his patrolling activities and tried to keep the neighbours and the occasionally intruding humans at bay.
When the situation was safer again, Malta came back with their now 3 years old daughter Yava. Axel was very glad to see her back and the love for her had not gone away. He got more involved in raising the cubs was re-discovered his very playful side. When his cubs grew up and became adolescents, he focused more on his own activities again and was no longer very involved in his kids’ business.
It was a steadily turbulent time in his life, that became even more turbulent when the son (Stian) of his brother suddenly disappeared at an age of roughly 20. In the same moment, the neighbouring Nivalis family, invaded the Sætansen lands and they were out for revenge. They accused the Sætansens for the murder of one of their family members. A conflict broke out with the Sætansens on the winning side. But Stian had not returned. In the meantime, humans had become a serious problem for siderians. Several siderians had been shot, poisoned or died in snare traps. Even Axel’s mate Malta got shot, but fortunately, she survived it and recovered fully.
After about 17 years, his daughter Yava and his cousin Goran had eventually found Stian’s location and they went after him. They came back with a few other siderians and Stian started the Fjordland Force; an organized group of siderians who fight against the invading humans. Axel had done his own research on the interaction of humans with the rest of the living world and could contribute greatly with his knowledge. He got quite engaged in the activities and participated in many of the Fjordland Force’s missions. However, the too early loss of his brother, impacted him deeply but he went on for as long as he could…
