So I've been making a bunch of bracelets as preliminary preparation for selling lots of stuff at a fantasy convention in February, and I figured I may as well do a more organized listing of the types of weaves and patterns I do. A menu of sorts.
Normally I would do this with standard aluminum and black rubber, but I'm at home on winter break for a bit, and I forgot to bring the black rubber rings. So I'm doing rainbow instead, since that way I can get more variants cataloged. (Also, before I could find a boyfriend my sister got a girlfriend, so rainbows have been on my mind.)
The bracelet patterns we have here are, from left to right, European 4-in-1 ($20), Byzantine ($20), and Half-Persian 3-in-1 ($15).
In each group, on the left we have a fast cycle of colors (where each successive ring moves on to the next color in the pattern of colors, so it repeats across the piece), and a slow cycle (where the pattern of colors is stretched, repeating adjacent rings, such that it fits on the piece once).
The rightmost Half-Persian bracelet is a slow fade, where the rings at the boundaries between colors are dithered so the colors kind of blend together. This works pretty well, except for at the green-yellow boundry.
So there you have it. Lots of choices. All of them gay. Note me if you want something! You may specify specific colors if you so desire, I don't make only rainbows.

Eh, I guess I'm the opposite? I don't particularly care for rainbows but it's a convenient symbol?
For lots of things, you could go with a spectrum that doesn't start at red and end at purple? Green through the other colors to blue is nice. Doesn't work for circular things, of course.
