Rensophir Kyneth is a Forest Dragon, a living embodiment of the power, beauty and wrath of nature. He sequesters himself in the deep forests of the world, where the trees are older than he is, and the fey peek into reality. In Catheridge, he is a herald of Mother Nature, a keeper of dangerous and wondrous artifacts, and he brings the wrath of the woods to bear against those that would threaten the natural order. In most other settings, he's a cranky dragon who would really rather prefer hikers stop getting lost in his woods. Though he usually reacts to interlopers with hostility, he's quick to drop his temper if you can prove you mean no harm, or are even seeking him out for lessons or guidance. Those who get to know him discover a gentle, insightful, kind-hearted dragon who loves alchemy, cooking, and all the wonderful little gizmos humans carry around with them.
Ren is basically a druid in dragon form. Or, perhaps it would be more accurate to say that druids are pale imitations of his species. Rensophir can shapeshift into any animal or humanoid form that he fancies, and can turn others into the same. More than one emboldened thief has found themselves stuck as a squirrel for days on end as punishment for stalking his woods, and any that seek his power or tutelage often find themselves as kobolds for the duration of their apprenticeship; not for a malicious reason, mind, Ren's kobolds share a portion of his druidic power, making the form is a better baseline than most for connecting to nature (that and they're just so adorable).
Beyond this, he has all the standard trappings one might expect of a dragon; keen vision, tough scales, dangerous claws and fangs, unmatched air superiority, and the like. Ren's breath channels the fury of the storm, and with a moment of focus, he can call forth the mightiest creatures of the wood to his side. More whimsically, his innate magic allows him to cure all but the most grievous of injuries, restore and encourage plant growth, talk with beasts, birds, and trees, entangle interlopers in roots and vines, and move unimpeded through the woods. Sometimes he may be found meditating in a deep grove, communing with the woods as his spirit soars between the boughs.
Unsurprisingly, Rensophir has a keen knowledge of all natural things. More surprisingly, he's well versed in arcane knowledge as well, and knows bits and bobs in regards to most academic fields, though some of it may be outdated, given he's a roughly three-hundred year old dragon.
And with that, we have Ren! My dragon, my sona, my fantasy.
