For me, I just walked up to the SL club owner and said, "I'd like to DJ." A year later, and bingo, I'm still at the club spinning the tunes with one of the most eclectic mixes in the bunch.

Second Life is a good place to start for hobbyists, and professionals alike. Heck, I'm followed by a DJ named "Dragon Heart" that broadcasts over the net from a turntable, spinning vinyl!
