Emi (the tanuki): they/she
Remy (the boots): they/them

Remy meets their dimensional counterpart, Emi, and is promptly turned into a pair of stylish canvas boots for her to wear while she’s stuck in their dimension. But, thanks to Twitter and a good old fashioned “1 like = 12 hours” post, Remy will be spending almost six months as a pair of fancy footwear - they’re not to be released until April 24, 2023 at the LATEST. Poor racc!

Which means, I’ll be drawing Emi instead of Remy for a good while (at least, on this account. Still gotta draw Remy for YouTube stuff and memes on main lmao.) Partially, I wanna do this to get some practice in, particularly with drawing different characters, but also since I made Emi she’s definitely been giving me a sense of euphoria I haven’t felt since I made Remy themself, so I wanna stick with Emi for a bit!
And admittedly, it’s kinda a really huffy idea to turn one of my characters into a piece of clothing for another character and leave them like that. Then, when you see Emi wearing her boots in future art, we’ll all think “looks like Remy’s doin’ alright” >:3c

Thanks to her tanuki leaves, she’s a perfect candidate for getting into transformative mischief, but she won’t be immune from getting stuck in silly scenarios herself. And I have plans for all my other characters too. But poor Remy’s sitting the next few months out - I mean, kinda, they’re still here. They’re just… boots! ^w^
