Summer drew to a close, the long hot days began to dwindle as August rolled in. I lay, wide awake in my pool house room. The moonlight crept in from the current I had left ajar. It was quiet. My heart was racing, I couldn't wait for the school year to begin.
A dream I had once thought Impossible was now becoming a reality. West Bridge Timbers Academy, is a school built for and ran by monsters. It was my new grounds of study.
I had always wanted to go there as a child, but back then it wasn't something I could do. Humans weren't allowed at all to monster Academies and hadn't been for hundreds of years.
I couldn't sleep, too excited for tomorrow's first day of school. That was when I heard the glass door slide open. And in stepped Drake, quietly he shut the door back and walked over to my bed. I could tell he knew I was awake as he bend down beside me.
