I think it's just like making friends, that you can look for the people you're interested in here or elsweyr and start talking to them, and see what happens.
I think I might be wrong, but I've always thought of lovers couples as a kind of great friendship graduation that does not come before. So if I were trying to find a mate I'd test our compatibility by trying to engage in platonic fun things with them. We're all so very different though with very different needs, I enjoy the chill types and just letting things happen, but maybe for others it's best to tell them what you're looking for right away.
