BEHOLD! The worm rises from the ground, to be the hero he was always meant to be!!!

Well......... at least a worm with a super-suit anyhow. Heh heh.
So yeah, I made an Earthworm Jim costume. Missed the chance to wear it for this years Halloween. However, I debuted it at this last Prancing Skiltaire meet-up (November 2022). I even brought along a co-worker from my job whom happens to be part of the fandom as well.
Costume consists of:
* Head- The head was possibly the most intricate. I had to use my "Steve" duck-tape dummy bust for a base to build the head. I placed a pre-made balaclava over the bust' head. I then hot-glued a cheap halloween smiley face mask toe front... cutting out the teeth in the process. I used some window insulating foam to alter the shape of the nose and cheeks. I then pain-stackingly used a beige T-shirt for the "worm skin". I used needles to hold the shaped material to get an outline. Then I sewed in a rear zipper, enabling me to make the head rather form fitting. The eyes are painted metal mesh strainers. The teeth are craft foam, supported by a metal mesh backing. There is a slendor "snake-like" attachment made from the remaining T-shirt material that I used for part of Jim's extended body that wraps around his neck. The shading added to the overall head is fabric paint.
* Shirt/ Pants- Purchased on Ebay. They are pajamas. The neck shield is foam, with stretchy gold-foil shiny spandex.
* Shoes- Purchased on Ebay. They are clown shoes. I had purchased a second set of pajama pants in order to use the leg openings to cut and fit over the clown shoes. The inside of them have shoe insoles, while I added sturdy foam for the base of the shoes (like fursuits have). The painted lines are fabric paint.
* Suspenders/ Belt- Made using yoga mat foam. I used stretching elastic bands as the trim of the pieces. I placed a belt clip for easy put-on/ take-off ability.
* Gloves- Are leather Equine-riding gloves. I used some of the gold-foil spandex material for the trim on both.
* Gun- Was purchased at a Goodwill. It originally had barrells at the end. I disassembled the gun, removed the barells, repurposed the center barell with a ping pong ball, and used spray paint. The ridges at the end were made with brown crafting foam.
* Backpack- Is a cheap fashion backpack purchased on ebay. I cut off the straps and sewed/ fused it to the backside of the suspenders.
TECHNICALLY, the costume is not done. I still need to do some sewing touches to the suspenders and belt. The head piece can use some more shading. I plan to add subtle muscle shading to the body suit. Lastly but not least, I need to make a SNOT (sidekick) plush doll thing to fit in the backpack.
So, whaddah think???
