The moa and bat had a plan for defeating Haast's eagle. That is luring it into the cave. Firstly bat carries lot of fruits and leaves to moa so to make her big bird. Moa then eat all. The result of this is moa growing to big size. Once moa becomes very big bird, it has left the cave to feed on leaves of tree near cave. Meanwhile bat open his big jaw and is prepared for eating Haast's eagle. Moa near cave suddenly sees the eagle who is flying toward it, so to hunt her. But just second before eagle could kill her the moa has fleed, while eagle has filed into darky cave and disappears into dark cave.
