Don't you just hate it when a band of adventurers come into your village? They flock about, gawking at all the "strange" and "exotic" things you have. Once they're done doing typical tourist stuff, they'll burn down half the village in an attempt to kill a pigeon that offended them, and then expect to be treated like heroes.
On the flip side, many adventurers bring lots of money to spend on all sorts of items that may or may not be worthless. They're also the best kind of people to call if you have a problem with an evil dark lord, or a scary monster. Sometimes the adventurers really are heroes, and the villagers are just rude.

I created this as part of a drawing challenge, following the theme "fox adventurer". Most participants just drew a plain fox and mentioned the word "adventurer" in the description. I wanted to flip over the prompt and look at it from another angle. So here is a fox potion seller who's had a lot of trouble with adventurers. She clearly does not like them, but may be caught up in fate and find herself in a grand adventure within the next hour or so.
The mods do not like when the prompt is flipped around and toyed with, and this submission was declined. I was upset because I worked hard on it, and left the group. Potion Fox went on to become a recurring character of mine.
