Vibean's transformation into his even MORE selfish and dangerous alter ego occurred after shutting down what he thought was a simple "evil circus", seemed to be alot of those. But there was good reason for that, it is all spread throughout all dimensions by a living concept known only as the Primordial Fool, and these hotspots are the start of the Infinite Circus. And every circus needs a leader, it had a way to sense those with chaos in their hearts, to answer the calling. Like an inevitability.
The short eldritch wasn't easily tricked, but this entity didn't need to lie, it simply whispered the exact words Vib needed to hear: "You've been holding back, keeping suffering to a minimum... A being as incredible as you should not have to give lesser creatures such curtesy... The urges to do whatever, whenever, and to whoever should be embraced; All that matters in this reality is power, and you have it in spades."
